Specified Commercial Transactions Act Disclosures

This page contains the disclosures required by Article 11 of Japan’s Specified Commercial Transactions Act (特定商取引法) for online sales. It applies to all CapyClimb passes, memberships, and physical goods purchased through the CapyClimb app or website. The Japanese-language version of this page is the authoritative version; this English text is a convenience translation.

販売価格 / Sales price
The price of each pass, membership, or physical good is displayed in the CapyClimb app and on the CapyClimb website at the point of purchase. All prices are shown in Japanese yen (JPY) inclusive of consumption tax (10%).
販売価格以外の必要料金 / Additional charges
- Consumption tax is included in the displayed price.
- There is no separate processing fee or service charge for purchases made in the CapyClimb app or website.
- For physical goods, any shipping fee applicable to a delivery option is shown at checkout before you confirm the order. CapyClimb passes and memberships are digital and require no shipping.
- Your mobile data carrier may charge for the connection used to access the app; we do not control or share in those charges.
代金支払方法 / Payment methods
The payment methods accepted at the time of purchase are displayed at checkout. Card details are processed by our payment processor as an APPI Article 27(5)(i) entrustment; CapyClimb does not store full card numbers.
代金支払時期 / Payment timing
- Passes & physical goods: charged at the time of purchase.
- Memberships: charged at the time of purchase, and again on each monthly renewal date thereafter until you cancel (see Terms of Use §4.2).
商品の引渡時期 / Delivery timing
- Digital products (passes, memberships): made available in the CapyClimb app immediately after purchase is confirmed. If the purchase was made as a guest, you claim it in-app by signing up with the same email address used at checkout.
- Physical goods: dispatched within 7 business days of purchase confirmation, unless a different timing is shown at checkout.
返品・キャンセル / Returns & cancellation
See Terms of Use §5 for the full cancellation, refund, and Initial-Membership Satisfaction Guarantee rules. In summary:
- First-ever Membership: cancel within 8 days of purchase for a full refund (or pro-rata refund less administrative fee if any visits were recorded) under our voluntary Initial-Membership Satisfaction Guarantee. This is not a statutory cooling-off right under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act — climbing-gym memberships do not fall within the closed list of “specified continuous services” to which statutory cooling-off applies.
- Membership cancellation after the 8-day window: cancel at any time from the app or by email. Access continues to the end of the current paid month; no further charges are made. Partial-month refunds are not provided after the 8-day window.
- Passes: non-refundable once issued, except where required by law.
- Physical goods: returnable in unused original condition within 7 days of purchase, except hygienic items (chalk, climbing shoes, food, drinks) which are final sale.
特別な販売条件 / Special conditions
- The CapyClimb app requires iOS 14 or later / Android 8 (API level 26) or later and a working internet connection.
- Account registration and physical gym access require that you accept the Terms of Use and submit the in-gym Climbing Waiver and Consent on first visit.
- Off-hours (unstaffed) gym access has additional eligibility requirements; see Terms of Use §6.4.
